Tanglewood Neighborhood In Fort Worth TX

Brief Information Of Tanglewood

Tanglewood is a family-friendly neighborhood in Fort Worth, Texas which lies within the 154 Felix G. Beasley Survey to the west, and the 1876 James Howard Survey to the East. The area is conveniently located approximately five miles southwest of the bustling Fort Worth Central Business District, along the branch of the Trinity River. Divided into three sections, Tanglewood consists of Bellaire Park Court, Marquette Court, and Autumn Court. This neighborhood is known for being incredibly safe, perfect for families, and lined with tall trees.

Before its development, the land on which Tanglewood sits was a dairy farm. Additionally, there was a swimming hole where children would play; now you can see a bridge which runs through the Bellaire Drive South. Today the neighborhood’s predominant architectural style is ranch, giving a nod to its history. All homes in Tanglewood are either brick or stone, and additional restrictions stipulate that all properties must have at least a two-car garage attached to the house. The neighborhood is home to many scenic parks, making it a wonderful area for families who enjoy spending time in the great outdoors. The popular bicycle-walking trail located in Tanglewood was originally built in the 1970s and later expanded under the leadership of Margaret Rimmer, a prominent resident of the neighborhood and member of the Fort Worth city council.

This relaxed neighborhood is near the Trinity Commons Shopping Center on Bellaire Drive South, Hulen Mall, Trinity River Station Post Office, and Baylor All Saints Medical Center. It is located in City Council district number 9, voting precinct number 4182, and school district number 5. The children living in Tanglewood attend Tanglewood Elementary School, W.P. McLean Middle School, and R.L. Paschal High School. The beautiful and well-shaded bike/walking trail located in Tanglewood is heavily used by residents and many opt to walk their children to and from school. However, the tree-lined roads which curve following the bank of the Trinity River in this quaint neighborhood make for equally scenic travel.
