There are parks and gardens in the Fort Worth area, but one of the best reasons people move there is to play golf. Fort Worth hosts a men’s golf tournament every May at the Colonial Country Club, known as the Fort Worth Invitational and this is a highly prestigious event.

Motor racing is another drawcard, and the area is home to ‘The Great American Speedway ‘ It is a 1.5-mile quad-oval track in the north of the city

and hosts an IndyCar event, and six NASCAR events every year.

If you have never attended a Rodeo, this is an event for the whole family, and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo are held at the Will Rodgers Memorial Center every year. Because Fort Worth was the center for cow sales and auctions, it is often known as Cowtown, and Rodeos are important events, and the town has built a new arena that also hosts TCU Basketball games and Boxing events.
