Among the selections are portraits of Jesus and Mary as black Africans, challenging the public’s perception that Jesus was white.

The museum is located on the north edge of the city’s cultural district. The museum has an outdoor garden path lined with Roman columns and a number of sculptures. The museum includes the Last Supper, a life-size wax replica of Leonardo da Vinci’s painting.
