White Lake Hills All You Need To Know
White Lake Hills is a suburb of Fort Worth Texas. In 1977 the neighborhood center was formed by 30 residents who wanted to save the White Lake, which was then an old fishing hole, it was leaking needing repair. It was duly repaired by the owner, and a suburb of desirable houses grew up around it.
Before it was a suburb, it was an old dairy farm, and a tall Silo still stands on Oakland Boulevarde. There is a shopping mall in the area now.
Moving To White Lake Hills
If you are moving to White Lake Hills the good news is that the houses are reasonably priced, there are a variety of different homes, and there is something for everyone, except perhaps renters, as it is not an area with rental availability. The people of the area have a strong sense of community, making it a very pleasant area to settle in.
Recreation
Opportunities for recreation abound in the Fort Worth Area, and some of them are:
- Golf, The Colonial Country Club, a member-owned Golf Club that hosts the annual PGA Golf Tour.
- Canoeing on the Trinity River.
- Trail systems to explore.
- Going fishing in White Lake.
- Activities for the kids include, The Free Play Arcade has old arcade games, very retro, to introduce to a new generation.
- Modern Art Museum, opened in 2002 and features works of art since WW11.
- Fort Worth Zoo, for a lesson in conservation.
- There are lots of fabulous places to dine, including Tex/Mex food and burgers.
Tertiary Education
The highly-rated Texas Christian University is South-West of Fort Worth offering a wide curriculum, on varying campuses.
Employment in the Fort Worth area is readily available in retail, health, education, and technology. If you are self-employed, it is a very good place to work from home.
White Lake Hills
Is a place where you can get to know your neighbors and your children can settle into the local school. If you decide on private schooling,
there are two schools in the area, East Fort Worth Montessori Academy and Nolan Catholic High School, there is also the public school.
