Our Leadership & Credentials
Our firm is led by Gary L. Medlin, the Managing Attorney and Founder of The Medlin Law Firm. Gary has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1983, and he has been Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1989.
Board Certification through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization is designed to recognize lawyers with substantial, relevant experience in a specialty area, who complete specialty continuing legal education and pass a rigorous exam.
Gary’s background also includes time as an assistant district attorney earlier in his career, which informs how we evaluate prosecution strategies and prepare defensively.

We’re a criminal defense team with a strong courtroom focus and a wide range of experience. Our team includes attorneys who previously served as assistant district attorneys, and our background also includes prior law enforcement experience. Our team has nearly 73 years of combined experience defending Texans, and we focus our practice entirely on criminal defense.
