Mr. Rodgers began his legal career as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Judge Ramona Emanuel of the First Judicial District Court in Shreveport, Louisiana. After nine months in that role, he was hired as an Assistant District Attorney in Caddo Parish in 2010. During his tenure, he prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases, including murder, rape, armed robbery, burglary, and DWI offenses.

After more than five years with the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Rodgers recognized a growing need for dedicated legal advocacy in underserved communities. In response, he founded The Rodgers Law Firm in 2016, with a mission to provide high-quality legal services to those in need. In April 2020, he was admitted to the Texas State Bar and expanded the firm’s presence into Texas.

As a defense attorney, Mr. Rodgers has successfully defended clients in high-stakes cases, including securing a NOT GUILTY verdict in a homicide trial involving video surveillance evidence. Known for his thorough preparation and strong courtroom presence, Mr. Rodgers is a tireless advocate for his clients. He remains committed to delivering strong legal representation and pursuing justice on behalf of those he serves.

Kelvin is married and has two daughters. He is a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas. In his spare time, he mentors young adults and established the Brenda Lynn Williams–Morris and Clara Mae Watson Scholarships, honoring his late mother and grandmother, to support high school graduates pursuing higher education.
